Bodoland Territorial Council delegation meets Dr Jitendra Singh (24 April 2017)

elegation of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), led by Member of Parliament, Shri Biswajit Daimary met the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh here today and sought his intervention for
redressal of their long pending demands including the grant of ‘Scheduled Tribe’ status to Bodo Kachari living in Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao as well as Karbi (Mikr) living in plain areas of Assam.

India declares itself free from Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N1 and H5N8) ( 6 July 2017 )

India had reported outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic Avian influenza at various epicenters in Delhi, Gwalior (MP), Rajpura (Punjab), Hissar (Haryana), Bellary (Karnataka), Allappuzha and Kottayam (Kerala), Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Daman (Daman) and Khordha and Angul (Odisha during October, 2016 to February, 2017.
