E-Visa is presently available for entry through 3 seaports, viz. Cochin, New Mangalore and Marmagao seaport and 24 airports, viz. As per available information, approximately 330 Pakistani and approximately 1770
Bangladeshi nationals have been deported during the last three years. No Rohingya immigrant has been deported during the last three years.

Liberalisation of rules governing small arms manufacturing ( 27 December 2017 )

The Arms Rules, 2016 substituting the earlier rules of 1962 were notified on 15.07.2016
which simplified the process of licences for manufacturing of arms/ ammunition, their export/ import besides simplifying process of arms licence to individuals.

Long term visit visa ( 5 April 2017 )

As per the existing instructions, foreigners of all countries (except otherwise notified by the Government of India) can get long term visa for 5 years with multiple entries in four categories viz. Tourist visa, Employment visa, Business visa and Student visa.

Monitoring of activities of NGOs ( 12 April 2017 )

The Government vide letter dated 22/11/2016 had directed more than 11000 NGOs to file
applications for renewal of registration by 28 February, 2017 in accordance with rule 12, FCRA, 2010. Of the above, around 3,500 NGOs only have filed applications for renewal till February 2017.
