Rifle Factory Ishapore (RFI) successfully developed Rifle 5.56 x 45mm Excalibur in association with Army. The Gun has been tried by the Indian Army and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). RFI has already supplied around 20000 Nos. Excalibur Rifles to various Police Forces

A project, namely, ‘Bio-metric Access Control System at Airports’ with a cost of Rs.33.23 crore, has been approved for implementation at 72 airports by Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, the regulatory authority of civil aviation security in India.

Criteria to review performance of IPS Officers (22 March 2017)
The Review Committee reviews records of officers under Rule 16 (3) of All India Services (Death-Cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958 by keeping in mind two broad objectives; firstly, to weed out officers of doubtful integrity and secondly, to weed out officers who have outlived their utility and have become inefficient or ineffective.
Formation of New IR Battalion in States

Shortage of CAPF Personnel (11 April 2017)
Two additional Reserve Battalions have been sanctioned to CISF in June, 2016. Further, Government has increased the ceiling of strength of CISF from 1,45,000 to 1,80,000. The requirement of manpower for expansion/new induction is met from this enhanced strength on need basis.
