Main Treaties and Agreements

Treaty of Peace and Friendship between the Government of India and The Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh Dacca, 19 March 1972

During the visit (6-7 June, 2015) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bangladesh, 22 bilateral documents (Including Agreements – 12 ; MoUs – 10) were concluded including the exchange of instrument of ratification for India-Bangladesh Land Boundary Agreement (LBA). Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina paid a State Visit to India from 07-10 April 2017.

During the visit (07-10 April, 2017) of Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, 36 bilateral documents (Including Agreements – 4; MoUs – 15) were concluded in various areas including civil nuclear energy, space, information technology, defence and capacity building etc.
