Government of India, under the Coastal Security Scheme (CSS), has given assistance to the coastal police stations in the State of Goa.

The Press Council of India in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has taken note of the report of Reporters without Borders (RWB) and found out that the sources of RWB in India are ambiguous, and the sampling is quite random in nature which does not portray a proper and comprehensive picture of freedom of the press in India.

Audit of vulnerable jails in the country (15 March 2017)

DGP (Prisons and Correctional Services), Madhya Pradesh had requested Central Industrial Security Force for security and fire consultancy/audit for the Central Jail, Bhopal. A CISF team has conducted the site survey of Bhopal Central Jail.

Augmentation of police forces of States (22 March 2017)

As ‘Police’ is a State subject falling in List-II of seventh schedule of the Constitution of India, it is primarily the responsibility of the State Governments to ensure adequate augmentation in their police forces.

Bangladeshi infiltrators (19 July 2017)

There are reports of Bangladeshi nationals having entered the country without valid travel documents. Since entry of such Bangladesh nationals into the country is clandestine and surreptitious, accurate data of such cases is not available.

Rajasthan and Gujarat and along Indo-Bangladesh Border in the States of West Bengal, Assam,Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura.
